frustrating and, at times, overwhelming. High school students and their parents
face a barrage of information which can lead to confusion, stress, and tension
during what is already a stressful period.
Susan Hanflik and Associates Educational Consulting is a full-service educational
consulting practice created to assist families as they navigate the college and
postsecondary maze. We work one-on-one with students to identify their strengths
and needs, matching these qualities with academic settings that will provide the
best environment to realize their educational, cultural and social goals.
Our services are offered on an individualized basis, and our staff understands that
each step in the consulting process must accurately reflect the personalized
objectives of the student and their family. Our goal is to help each student set
realistic goals and make plans to reach them.
We employ no formulas or easy answers and offer professional and thoughtful
guidance. We visit campuses and programs on a regular basis to gain firsthand
knowledge of the school’s environment, culture and programs. We are respectful
of our students, and see students as active partners in the process of determining
their academic futures. By establishing individualized relationships with students,
we empower them to make effective choices. The outcome is not only to select
the right school, but also to give the student a strong sense of self-worth and
dignity in the process.
